Camping Equipment: Tents For Wilderness Camping

I own a 3-person tent that was made by Eureka (see pic here). The extra capacity of a 3-person tent will allow 2 people lots of room in case some gear needs to come in out of the rain. Also, bigger means less stuffiness.  Get a tent with good ventilation - in my tent, air can circulate through the large screened areas of each end.  Also, make sure the tent has a rain fly that also allows for air circulation. Get a decent brand with a non-leaking floor - don't wait to discover the bargain-features of a bargain-brand during a gully-washer rainstorm in the middle of the wilderness, as I did once in a borrowed tent!
